Atlantic City Rolls Out the Pink Ribbon to Kick Off the Summer

Atlantic City’s biggest and most entertaining ribbon cutting ever was staged on the world-famous Boardwalk today when Phyllis Lacca and her Masterpiece Advertising team rolled out a Giant Pink Ribbon from one end of the Boardwalk to kickoff the summer as well as promote the July 12th Pink Beach Concert being staged by Live Nation.
Two trams, one starting at the south (Albany Avenue / ACDEVCO Gateway project) and the other at the north end (Pennsylvania Avenue / Hard Rock Café), traveled towards each other and met on the boardwalk in front of Bally’s Casino (Dennis Courtyard), where Atlantic City Mayor Donald Guardian was joined by city dignitaries, business owners, their employees and summer tourists for the Pink Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. The Miller family, which will be holding their 4th Annual Make the Best of It Bash to raise money for the Tara Miller Melanoma Foundation, brought their pink bus to Atlantic City as part of the festivities and pink-themed day.
Guardian was joined by CRDA Executive Director Chris Howard, Harrah’s Regional President Rick Mazer, Tropicana AC General Manager Steve Callender, Meet AC CEO Jim Woods, Former 1984 Miss America Miss Suzette Charles, Diane and Mike from the popular WAVY morning talk show, New Jersey Casino Control Commissioner Alisa Cooper, Miss Atlantic County Jacqueline Algarra, George Miller of the Tara Miller Foundation, Atlantic City Boys and Girls Club CEO Michelle Carrera, AC Ballet Ballerina’s and their Founder and Artistic Director Phyllis Papa, as well as Atlantic City Aquarium Mascot Seaweed.
