  The Ronald McDonald Family Play Room at Kennedy Hospital in Washington Township was recently renovated by members of the Washington Township Youth Cheerleading Association (WTYCA). Ronald McDonald was on hand, along with several cheerleaders and their family members, for the recent ribbon cutting to unveil the spruced-up facility, which originally opened in 2004. The room offers a place for the family members of patients being seen in the ED to relax, or enjoy a snack.

  Regional business leaders recently participated in a panel discussion on “When to Grow or Sell Your Business” at a Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce program held in the Chamber offices.  The speakers provided guidelines for determining when it is profitable to grow a business through franchising or product licensing and when it is more practical to sell to new management. 

Program Manager Lorin Powell and District Manager Linda Caruso Honored

  The Just Kids Program swept Archway Programs inaugural Leader and Employee of the Year awards when Program Manager Lorin Powell of Shamong was named Leader of the Year and District Manager Linda Caruso of Washington Township was named Employee of the Year.
 

  The New Jersey Council of County Colleges has honored a Camden County College administrator with a 2008 Community College Spirit Award.
  Carol McCormick of Mount Laurel, who has been a senior account executive with CCC’s Division of Customized Training since 2005, was recognized for her exemplary service to New Jersey’s community colleges. Since 1993, the award has gone to those whose work personifies the characteristics for which community colleges were created and under which they continue to function today.

Jersey Business Leaders Hope Banding Together Will Open Up Opportunities.
They don’t have a secret handshake, initiation ritual or a fancy clubhouse, but 15 South Jersey companies have teamed up to offer a one-stop network of business solutions to entrepreneurs on the move.
  The group is known as the Jersey Business Leaders, and its membership consists of South Jersey business owners willing to bring a consistency of effort and skill to challenges ranging from communications and construction to marketing and makeovers.
  “A business moving to the area, or starting up, upgrading or changing in any way here will benefit from our network,” says Gregory Gutos, the founding member of Jersey Business Leaders. His USAPhone.com communications company was one of five charter members of Jersey Business Leaders when it started four months ago. Now there are 15 members.
