Regional business leaders recently participated in a panel discussion on “When to Grow or Sell Your Business” at a Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce program held in the Chamber offices.  The speakers provided guidelines for determining when it is profitable to grow a business through franchising or product licensing and when it is more practical to sell to new management.

Speakers pictured (l. to r.) are: Timothy J. Abell, president and chief operating officer, Firstrust Bank; Mark Clemens, former director of community marketing, Clemens Family Markets; Peter R. Spirgel, Esq, business lawyer and managing shareholder, Flaster/Greenberg, Attorneys at Law; Bert MacKay, senior vice president, senior relationship manager, commercial lending, Firstrust Bank; William J. Mignucci, Jr., owner, Di Bruno Brothers, Inc.; and Mike Armstrong, business columnist and host of the Philadelphia Business Today webcast at The Philadelphia Inquirer, who moderated the program.

  •  For the fifth month, we’re taking a crack at identifying the men and women who make the region go…on a county-by-county basis.
