Thirty Men and Women Who Keep the State’s Largest County on the Move

Starting this month—with your help—we’re going to identify the men and women who make the region go on a county-by-county basis.

It’s our listing, based on our reader’s suggestions, of at least some of the men and women who keep South Jersey on the move.

One of the things you’ve told us is that you really like our focus on the people who make South Jersey go—especially features like “In the Bull’s Eye,” all of our photo galleries, and our inaugural “Women of Influence” profiles. You’ve also told us that you like “lists.”

So, this is our effort to continue in that direction.

We’re starting with Burlington County, and our second list will focus on the movers and shakers in Gloucester County.

We want to hear from you for every list. But be aware that we’ve established a couple of “rules” to guide your recommendations:
1.    No elected officials. It’s their job to make the region go. (But we WILL consider appointed officials.)
2.    We’re going first by the county in which the person’s business is located, but we’ll consider the county in which the person resides if that’s where they’ve made their mark. (If you’re in doubt, send us the suggestion and we’ll figure it out).
3.    If we miss somebody that you think should have been included, drop us an e-mail at news@snjbp.com.

So here’s our inaugural list for the State’s largest county.

Some folks have been included because of what they do in their full-time jobs. Others because of their community, civic, and philanthropic activities. And still others because they are so influential or well known (or both) that they know everybody and everybody knows them.

The trait they all share is that they can either get things done or influence how what gets done actually happens.

  •   For the third month, we’re taking a crack at identifying the men and women who make the region go…on a county-by-county basis.
It’s our listing, based on our reader’s suggestions, of at least some of the men and women who keep South Jersey on the move.
We started with Burlington and Gloucester Counties and this month’s list focuses on the movers and shakers in Cumberland County. Next month it will be Salem County.
We want to hear from you for every list.

  • This month's manager, Brad Bono of Magellan Hill, discusses relations with employees, customers and communities.
Brad Bono, the successful and innovative South Jersey telecommunications executive, offers his customers a chance to serve others as he does himself.
Bono’s Magellan Hill Technologies sells telecom solutions to small and mid-size companies with the requisite state-of-the-art resources, competitive pricing and smart customer service. It also has added an interesting twist in marketing phone services to residential customers.
