Burlington County Institute of Technology welcomed Congressman Tom MacArthur to there Westampton Campus
Burlington County Institute of Technology (BCIT) welcomed Congressman Tom MacArthur to our Westampton Campus recently for a campus tour. February is Career and Technical Education (CTE) month.
Congressman MacArthur toured the Dental Occupations classroom, where our dental students briefed him on dental procedures and equipment, as well as their future plans after graduation. BCIT Adult Education Dental Occupations students took their first National Board Exam and every student passed. The BCIT Adult Dental Occupations advanced standing students took their final board, the general chair-side exam; all passed and are now Certified Dental Assistants. Students from our Culinary Arts and Hospitality department displayed an array of appetizers and desserts prepared in the Congressman’s honor.
“The Burlington County Institute of Technology is an outstanding facility that has integrated local business into a wide-array of programs to create a community and provide the best possible education. It was a pleasure meeting so many impressive students who have made a decision at an early age to pursue an alternate path of specialized education,” remarked Congressman MacArthur.
Congressman MacArthur, elected in 2014, is a retired entrepreneur who created and preserved thousands of American jobs during his thirty-year career in the private sector. Working his way up from claims adjuster to the CEO of a large company, Tom exemplifies the American Dream.
